For the past four years Oldsmar Cares has grown their Holiday Food Service Programs to include Thanksgiving, the year-end holiday season, and now Easter. The program provides the meat for a main course as well as the side dishes to prepare an at-home traditional holiday meal. In 2010 the program was introduced with the “Thanksgiving Bounty Box.” Two years later the program was expanded with the addition of the “Holiday Ham Dinner” and on Friday, April 18th the "Easter Feast" will be added to the lineup. "The Board of Directors made the decision to provide special food for holiday occasions to help make these occasions more enjoyable for the people we serve," said David Wallace, Volunteer and Pantry Coordinator.
On Friday, April 18 we will need 10-12 Volunteers in shifts from 8 to noon to help clients select their “Easter Feast” and load items into their cars.
Oldsmar Cares has partnered with HoneyBaked Ham to launch the “Easter Feast” program. “I was fortunate enough to meet David Wallace last November and he explained all the wonderful things Oldsmar Cares does,” said Heather Holmes, General Manager, HoneyBaked HamClearwater store. “I am very proud and honored that HoneyBaked Ham can help give back to the community and I look forward to many years of building this newfound relationship.”
